During the fourth quarter of 2024, the performance of meal kits and specialty foods applications on iOS in Portugal displayed diverse trends. According to Sensor Tower data, Vivino: Buy the Right Wine emerged as a leader with significant growth in both downloads and revenue.

Starting with Vivino, the app experienced a notable increase in weekly downloads, peaking at approximately 3.1K in the week of December 23. Revenue followed a similar upward trend, reaching nearly $2K in the same period. Vivino's active users also saw a rise from around 8K at the beginning of the quarter to over 13K by late December.

HelloFresh: Meal Kit Delivery had a more modest presence in the market. Weekly downloads fluctuated, beginning at 85 and dropping to just 4 by the end of December. Despite this, the app maintained a relatively stable number of active users, with figures hovering around 1.5K to 1.7K throughout the quarter.

Factor_ Prepared Meal Delivery also showed variability in its weekly downloads, starting at 90 and dwindling to single digits by the end of the quarter. Active users saw a gradual decline from 460 to just over 300.

In contrast, EveryPlate: Cooking Simplified began the quarter with 28 downloads, which slightly increased early on but remained minimal thereafter. Active users decreased steadily from 155 to 123 by the end of December.

Lastly, Somme: Wine Matched to You, a newcomer in the market, had minimal activity with downloads peaking at 30 in the week following its release.
